Privacy Policy
TryDirectFlow is an automation tool for Instagram Direct that is operated through a Telegram bot. This page explains what it collects, why, and for how long. It covers both the product and this website.
Who is responsible
TryDirectFlow is operated by an independent developer. For any question about this policy or about your data, write to the support address listed in the footer — that address is the route for every request under this policy.
What this website collects
Nothing. This site is a set of static pages. There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, no advertising tag, no embedded widget, no cookie and no external font, script or image. Your browser makes no request to any third party while reading it. Server access logs kept by the hosting provider are the only record that a page was requested, and TryDirectFlow does not use them to identify visitors.
What the product collects from Instagram
When you connect your Instagram professional account, TryDirectFlow receives access to messages sent to that account’s Direct inbox. For each conversation it stores:
- the Instagram-scoped identifier of the person who wrote to you;
- that person’s Instagram username, where Instagram provides it;
- the text of the first message of the session and the text of the last message of the session;
- timestamps for the incoming messages and for the automatic reply;
- the language detected for the first message, and the language the person selected if language buttons were shown;
- the channel the conversation arrived through — a direct message, a reply to a story, an ad, or a shared post;
- the status you assign on the lead card: Client, In progress or Declined.
The messages exchanged between the first and the last one of a session are not stored. TryDirectFlow does not read comments, story mentions, posts or your followers list, and does not request permission to do so.
What the product collects from Telegram
To deliver lead cards and to run the interface, TryDirectFlow stores your Telegram user identifier, chat identifier, and the settings you configure in the bot: your reply languages, your reply templates and your account preferences.
Why this data is collected
- To send the automatic reply. The message text and detected language are needed to select and send your template.
- To notify you. The lead card in Telegram is assembled from the stored fields.
- To produce your reports. Counts of conversations, unique people, language and source splits, conversion and reply-time figures are computed from the stored records.
- To improve language detection. When a lead picks a language from the buttons, that choice is used as a labelled example to measure detection accuracy.
- To operate and bill the service. Quota accounting and support.
TryDirectFlow does not sell this data, does not share it with advertisers and does not use it to train machine-learning models. No language model processes your messages.
Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, processing is based on the performance of the contract between TryDirectFlow and you as its user (Article 6(1)(b)), and on TryDirectFlow’s legitimate interest in operating and securing the service (Article 6(1)(f)).
As the operator of your Instagram account, you are the controller of the messages your leads send you; TryDirectFlow acts as a processor on your behalf for that content.
Where the data is stored
Data is stored in a database running on infrastructure rented from Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany, within the European Union. Access is limited to the operator of the service and is used only for support and for keeping the service running.
Data is transmitted to and from Meta Platforms (Instagram) and Telegram in order to receive messages, send replies and deliver lead cards. Those companies process that data under their own terms and privacy policies.
How long it is kept
- Conversation records and lead statuses are kept while your account is active, because your reports are computed from them.
- If you delete your account or ask for deletion, the records are removed within 30 days. See the data deletion instructions.
- If your account stays inactive for 12 months with no connected Instagram account, the stored conversation data is deleted.
- Backups are rotated and are fully overwritten within 30 days.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or the EEA you may request access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, portability of the data you provided, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, write to the support address in the footer. Requests are answered within 30 days.
People who write to you
A lead who messages your Instagram account can ask for their record to be deleted. Both you and they can send that request to the support address; the procedure is described on the data deletion page.
Children
TryDirectFlow is not intended for anyone under 16 and is not marketed to children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it, and material changes are announced in the Telegram bot before they take effect.
